Hi RSDG,

1. Adding new *.veh files
The Megane Trophy 2.0 version leaves the old Auto Janak_16.veh file in the folder, plus adds the AJ05_16.veh and AJ05_16e.veh files also. Is it OK?

2. Resized dds file
The new Auto Janak_16.dds, which one the v2.0 mod replaces is 1,366 KB, while the original is 5,462 KB. Is it OK?

3. Other dds files
The rest of the dds files seems to be the same to me, except the Modified Date 4/27/2006 vs 11/17/2006.

And this is the same with every other team.
Thanks for the help.

Auto Janak_16.veh is for V1, you can still play V1 by the way.

AJ05_16.veh and AJ05_16e.veh are for V2.

V1 and V2 share the same dds files. The new dds file are 1024x1024.

i've noticed the Enduro cars handle a bit different to the cupcars, is that due to a wider tire and more weight overall and also does the bigger wing provide more DF.
One other thing on a normal track which car would you say is quicker, the cupcar or the enduro?

cheers

Both cars share the same platform, but there are differences between the two. The Endurance car is optimized for endurance racing while the Eurocup car is optimized for 25 miniute sprints. The Endurance car is heavier due to the addition of the lighting package, air jacks, larger wheels and tires, more body work, and a 100L fuel cell versus a 45L fuel cell in the Eurocup car. The Endurance car rear wing is more efficient due to it's high placement, which is modeled in the vehicle dynamics. The Endurance car has an EVO engine package with a small power increase over the Eurocup car. The Endurance car tires are wider and more durable for endurance racing, but have to contend with more weight. The two cars don't race against each other in real life (The Endurance Megane races against other silhouette cars in the BTCS), but the Endurance car may have a small advantage with a light fuel load versus the Eurocup car. The Endurance car definitley has an advantange over the Eurocup car at night.  rolleyes
